British Columbia

With 152 Drill Holes Completed in the Past Two Years, Taranis is Making Significant Progress at Thor....

In early 2007, Taranis Resources Inc. identified the Thor Property in British Columbia as a prospective volcanogenic massive sulfide deposit. Thor is the only project that Taranis currently has in British Columbia, and you can click on the link below for more information about this exciting exploration project.

Shown above is 3D image (Surpac) of the Great Northern Zone at the Thor Property showing areas where Taranis has drilled the deposit on 40 m centers. In this Resource Estimate, polygons are used to calculate the volume of material that each hole has identified.

Thor Highlights

  • 27 Crown Grant Mining Claims, of which 10 have Crown Grant Surface Rights.
  • Acquired 100% interest in January 2007 outright (no royalties) .
  • “Ore-grade” values over 1,800 m strike length initially documented by Taranis in September 2007.
  • Overturned, structurally deformed Besshi-type VMS deposit of Lower-Paleozoic age with copper, lead, zinc, gold and silver mineralization.
  • Considerable exploration upside, particularly on the north end of the Property where it is believed the mineralization continues down-plunge and also down-dip
  • Taranis has completed an in-house Resource Estimation in order to guide future exploration on the Project. The Company believes that a 4.5 M tonne threshold is required to warrant construction of a mill on the Property.
