Finland - A Country That is Under-Explored for Gold Deposits.....

Taranis has been exploring Finland since 2001 through its 100%-owned subsidiary Tailtiu Oy. The Kettukuusikko Gold property is currently the focus of exploration activity. Royald Gold, Inc. of Denver, Colorado has a strategic alliance with Taranis to explore and develop both existing and new gold exploration activities in Finland.

Tailtiu Oy also has two other Mining Claim applications which are outside of the Kettukuusikko area, and these are the Naakenvaara Property and the Suurikuusikko West Project. These are shown on the geologic map of Finland below (Courtesy of GTK).

The geological terrain of Finland shares many similarities to the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in Eastern Canada. Taranis has a wide-ranging expertise in exploring this type of terrain.

Taranis has a strategic alliance with Royal Gold, inc. of Denver to explore and develop gold deposits in Finland. The purpose of this alliance is to meld the exploration expertise of Taranis Resources Inc., with the development expertise of Royal Gold, Inc. This alliance will enable the mineral potential of Finland to be unlocked.

Finland has had some notable success exploring and developing its mineral resources. The most recent is the opening of the Kittila Gold Mine by Agnico Eagles Mines Ltd.  Kittila has probable reserves of 3.0 million ounces; 18.2 million tonnes at 5.1 g/t – open on strike and at depth, and is Europe's largest operating gold mine.
